A wondrous Christmas and Chanukah to you! My family is especially praising God at this time with my daughter and son-on-law’s adoption of a beautiful little four year-old child in South Africa. They live there for much of the year where my daughter has her art studio, and now we have a precious new member to the family. You know, I can't stress enough the power of prayer. When things look the darkest, and I know it's been said a million times — when things look darkest, that's when we really need to press on in faith believing God hears us and answers. It was a solid year of praying for this adoption to go through, and the waiting so painful and frustrating. "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" (Jer. 32:27) is the verse He impressed upon me. I was led to share it in the Prophetic word I send out tonight. (If you’re not on my Prophetic Word mailing list, go to my Home Page and click on the top right where it says, "Sign up for Marie’s Weekly Word." (Actually, I don't want to glut your mailbox so I don't send quite so often. If you'd like more often, let me know.)
I am also thrilled to announce another event, and that is the re-release of my book, THE EMANCIPATION OF ROBERT SADLER. It's an incredible chronicle of a little boy's journey from literal slavery to miracle-working, mind-blowing ministry. It's all true, a biography I researched over a year and wrote with Robert Sadler, travelled the South and the North with him, interviewed dozens of people, and wrote down his story.
When the book was first released a few years back it caused a minor sensation. Now this re-release made Publisher's Weekly's "Significant African American Book" list. An honor for sure. You can order the book from me now even before it hits the bookstores if you like. It's only $12.99. Click "Biographies" on my Home Page to order. I'll autograph it for you, too. (Or write me at P.O. Box 897, LaJolla, CA 92038.)
The Lord has told us, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God," (Luke 18:27) and as we head into this sacred season and a brand new year, we must stay united and more on fire for God than ever. Trust Him today, and as I shared on my Home Page's God's Heart Toward You, He wants us safe in His heart, tucked away in His love, His perfect will and complete confidence that "nothing is too hard for Him" (Jer. 32:17). So we rejoice that "unto us a Son is given," our Jesus, Yeshua ha Meshiach Who has conquered sin, fear, worry and doubt and created in us new hearts of hope and immutable, unshakable faith.
